Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StudyFar ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users including students, parents, and counselors.

StudyFar provides an AI-powered study abroad guidance platform including program search, application tracking, visa information, document storage, counselor booking, and community features.
Core features are provided free of charge. Premium tiers unlock additional features and support.
We are a guidance platform, not an immigration advisor or legal representative. Our information is for educational purposes and does not constitute legal or immigration advice.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account independently. Users aged 13–17 may use the Platform only with a parent or guardian who registers on their behalf and accepts these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
You may not share your account credentials or use another person's account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You may not use the Platform to upload false or misleading information about your academic qualifications.
You may not use the Platform to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy Platform data or content.
You may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
Community and chat features must be used respectfully. Spam, hate speech, and irrelevant commercial messages are prohibited.

Premium plans are offered as one-time purchases or recurring subscriptions (where available) as described on the pricing page.
All payments are processed by Razorpay. By completing a payment you agree to Razorpay's terms.
Plan activation is completed by the StudyFar team within 2 hours of payment confirmation on business days.
Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Counselors listed on the Platform are independent professionals. StudyFar does not guarantee specific outcomes from counselor sessions.
For free counselor sessions, availability is limited and subject to slot availability.
Paid counselor sessions are subject to the cancellation policy described at booking.
StudyFar does not provide immigration, legal, or financial advice. Counselors provide guidance only.

All Platform content (UI, copy, AI algorithms, design) is the intellectual property of StudyFar Consultancy.
Content you upload (documents, SOP drafts, profile data) remains yours. You grant StudyFar a limited licence to process it to provide the service.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without written permission.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
StudyFar does not guarantee admission to any university, grant of any visa, or any specific outcome from using the Platform.
Program and visa information is provided for guidance only and may not reflect the most current requirements. Always verify with official university and government sources.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudyFar's aggregate liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform is limited to the amount you paid to StudyFar in the 12 months preceding the claim.
StudyFar is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in Hyderabad, Telangana.
You may contact us first to resolve disputes informally at hello@studyfar.academy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes 14 days in advance via email or in-app notification.
Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India). Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
If you have a complaint about our service, please contact us first at hello@studyfar.academy. Unresolved complaints may be escalated to the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) or your State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
Our refund policy is published separately at studyfar.academy/refund and forms part of these Terms.
